The BONFOR research funding program thrives on qualified applicants and attractive projects. We would like to expressly encourage all scientific employees of the UCB to submit applications. The motto still applies: There is always funding available in the BONFOR program for original research projects! Here you will find information on the application and awarding process.

Research Commissions
The BONFOR SciMed Commission decides on the BONFOR-funded doctoral scholarships, funding applications for all other instruments are dealt with in the meetings of the BONFOR Research Commission.
Deadlines
Overview of deadlines and meeting dates. Applications can be submitted at any time, but must be submitted by the application deadline of the meeting dates.
BONFOR eApplication
The application for BONFOR funding is exclusively done electronically. Applicants can use the BONFOR eApplication system for this purpose.

Continuation of BONFOR-like Funding Projects
in Case of Relocation to Bonn
BONFOR's unaudited acquisition of external funding similar to BONFOR is excluded.
Funding continuation is only possible after the project has been re-evaluated (submission of a BONFOR funding application) by the BONFOR Commission.
