Services

At our Flow Cytometry Core Facility, we offer a comprehensive range of services to support researchers in cell analysis and sorting. Our state-of-the-art instruments and expert staff provide high-quality assistance in experimental design, data acquisition, analysis, and cell sorting for a wide variety of applications. Whether you're new to flow cytometry or an experienced user, we are here to help you make the most of your experiments.

Cell sorting:

The separation of specific cell populations for further analysis or experimentation. This service includes an operator to perform the sorting. The following cell sorters are available for assisted sessions: Aria III, Aria Fusion (S2) and FACSDiscover S8. Cell sorting is available for biosafety level S1 or S2 applications.

Experienced users can also be trained to operate the Sony MA900 cell sorter independently.

Training and Teaching:

Providing technical training, experimental design support and offering recurring seminars on principles of conventional and spectral flow cytometry.

Consultation:  Help and advice on all aspects of flow cytometry.

Panel design:

We can help with designing appropriate panels for multicolour phenotyping experiments.

FluoroFinder:

Users of our facility now have access to an annual Academic Plus site-wide licence subscription from FluoroFinder, the leading platform for flow cytometry panel design and reagent selection. You can order it via our online booking tool. FluoroFinder offers:

AI-assisted panel builder for smarter fluorochrome selection.

Advanced panel design suggestions based on instrument settings and marker expression.

Panel organization workspace to manage and collaborate on multiple panels.

A training video library for self-guided learning.

Enhanced data export options, including full panel reports and CSV files.

Data analysis:

We can help you interpret flow cytometry results and analyse your data. Our ultimate goal is to teach you how to analyse your data independently. Furthermore, we are familiar with the available software tools and can recommend the best option for you. Unfortunately, we cannot provide in-depth training on all the different analysis tools.

FlowJo Site Licence:

Users of our facility can order an annual FlowJo site licence via our online booking system.

Analysis workstations:

We have two analysis workstations that can be booked also via the online booking system. FlowJo, ID7000 and ImageStream software are installed on both computers.
