Teaching practical skills
Skillslab
We not only talk about medicine but also put it into practice.
By simulating a setting that is as close to reality as possible, we reflect the future field of activity.
Our aim is to optimize the preparation of all medical students for internships, clinical traineeships, final year placements and clinical deployment as a junior doctor.
Interprofessional teaching - an example: IPSTA
Joint learning and action by future doctors and healthcare and nursing trainees
The IPSTA project enables joint learning in practice. In terms of content, we focus on self-management, responsibility and interprofessional collaboration.
Taking a medical history, making a diagnosis, planning and carrying out treatment. What is normally done by experienced doctors and nurses is done at IPSTA by a team of medical students and nursing trainees - under the intensive supervision of experienced medical and nursing learning guides.

Interprofessional teaching
Cooperation between different healthcare professions is essential for good patient care. In order for communication and cooperation in interprofessional teams to succeed, future specialists should ideally learn the necessary skills and competencies during their training. After all, cooperation in interprofessional teams only works if they work together on the basis of a common understanding.

ArHyPaRe
Occupational health and safety, hygiene, patient safety and law - these four areas form the content of the interdisciplinary teaching project in medical studies and serve to protect both the future doctor's own health and that of the patient.
We see reflecting on the quality of our own teaching and the study conditions as a whole, as well as working purposefully on their further development, as our aspiration and as a mandate to ourselves. On the basis of student surveys, which are carried out and evaluated by the Center for Evaluation and Methods (ZEM), we strive to continuously improve academic teaching.
